Questions and answers
Is Learners Test UAE connected to RTA or the police?
No. It is an unofficial practice app by Blue Orbit, an independent developer. It is not affiliated with RTA, Abu Dhabi Mobility / ITC, Sharjah Police, the Ministry of Interior or any UAE government entity. Book and take your test through your licensing authority and driving institute; our sources page lists where to check the rules.
Are these the questions from the test centre?
No. Every question is original. We start from a rule in UAE traffic law, such as Federal Decree-Law No. 14 of 2024, the fines tables or an emirate's notice, and write a new situation, new answer choices and our own explanation. We never copy or reword questions from RTA handbooks, practice tests or other apps.
Which licences and emirates does it cover?
Five licences: light vehicle (car), motorcycle, heavy truck, light bus and heavy bus. Seven emirates: Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah, Ajman, Ras Al Khaimah, Fujairah and Umm Al Quwain. Your progress is kept for each licence, so you can change emirate without losing it.
Will the mock test match my emirate's test?
It follows the best information we found. Sharjah Driving Institute publishes 25 questions in 20 minutes. For Dubai, news reports describe 35 questions in 30 minutes, and RTA announced risk-recognition clips in 2015. The other emirates do not publish a format, so the app uses a general UAE practice format and says so. Your test centre can differ: ask your driving institute.
Which languages can I study in?
Switch any question between English, Arabic, Urdu, Hindi, Malayalam and Bengali, or show two languages side by side.
What do I get without paying, and what does Pro add?
Everyone gets every practice question and explanation for every licence, the sign library, a daily mock test and sample risk clips. Watch an optional rewarded video to unlock an extra mock test. Pro is a one-time purchase: no ads, unlimited mock tests and every risk-recognition clip for all licences. There is no subscription.
How do readiness levels work?
The app shows three levels: Not yet, Getting close and Exam-ready. You reach Exam-ready when you pass your last two mock tests and know the key topics well. It is a level to guide your study, not a score that predicts your test.
Who writes the questions?
Blue Orbit writes them from UAE traffic law and notices from the emirates, with the help of AI, and every question is checked by AI against its source. They have not been reviewed by a driving instructor or a lawyer. Each question records its source and the date it was checked.
I found a mistake. What should I do?
Traffic rules change. Report any question from inside the app or email blue0orbit@gmail.com, and always confirm the latest rules with your licensing authority.
